ARTiculate Art Therapy is a community outreach service offered by myself;
Charlotte Eva Bryan BA MSC
Art Therapist/ Art Educator/ Artist
I am an HCPC registered Art Psychotherapist and member of the British Association of Art Therapists looking to collaborate with organisations around Glasgow and the Central Belt of Scotland. I am interested in how people can work creatively together within a specific context, usually their immediate environment. In doing so participants can develop a sense of autonomy, self-expression and therapeutic relationships which encourage sustainable support networks within the community. I offer one to one and group Art Therapy, Art Workshops and can facilitate site specific community art projects.
During my undergraduate degree at Glasgow School of Art I explored a range of processes including film and video, installation, text, painting and printmaking. My studies and work in Art Psychotherapy have informed my arts practice by encouraging a process of emergence from the unconscious, for example drawing or making by free association. While tutoring within a community based Adult Mental Health charity, I developed craft skills in ceramics, sewing, natural dying and knitting/crochet. I have explored environmental art by facilitating participants’ installation of works, encouraging the use of recycled materials and bricolage.
